The Mark Knight Collection
A Lifetime of Cartoons
and Drawings
By
Mark Knight
For more than two decades, cartoonist
Mark Knight has been capturing the politics, culture
and soul of Australia with his cartoons in the Herald
Sun.
Knight’s cartoons have illustrated the major
issues and events of his generation: wars, terrorism
and natural disasters, political victories and scandals,
major sporting events and royal weddings. His pen
has drawn bitingly funny likenesses of figures including
Paul Keating, Jeff Kennett, Pauline Hanson, Peter
Costello, John Howard, Shane Warne, Russell Crowe,
George W. Bush and the Queen.
As part of this milestone publishing event,
Geoff Slattery Publishing is also releasing a special,
limited-edition of The Mark Knight Collection:
A Lifetime of Cartoons and Drawings. This stunning
edition has a stylish cloth cover and is presented
in a colourful slip case decorated with Mark Knight
illustrations. Each edition includes a limited-edition,
specially commissioned Mark Knight lithograph produced
at the studio of master Melbourne printmaker Peter
Lancaster, all signed and numbered by the artist.
The lithograph is presented in a loose form in the
slip case, enabling purchasers to remove it for framing.
The hand-signed, limited-edition The Mark
Knight Collection is a must-have for Mark Knight
fans and current-affairs and political junkies, and
would also make a fine corporate gift. |

Last Man Standing
By
Steven Bradbury with Gary Smart

perhaps the most unlikely, unthinkable gold medal
in the history of the Olympics. His last-to-first
roll to gold at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games
captured the imagination and curiosity of millions
of people around the world.
While his name has become synonymous with fluky
success, Bradbury's golden moment was anything but
an accident. It was gold forged with sacrifice, sweat
and blood and it was the reward for never giving up
over four Olympics and more than 12 years of bloody-minded
determination. Australia’s first-ever Winter
Olympic gold medallist had a dream and he was prepared
to make any sacrifice and endure any hardship to achieve
it. |
